I just picked up a 12ga 28" poly-choke Remington Sportsman 48 a few weeks ago and she was filthy but in good shape. took her all apart and cleaned all the hardened built up crud paying special attention to the recoil tube/spring.Bought a Remington Sportsman 48 (16 gauge) from a guy at work, got it cheap because it wouldn't cycle shells out. I tore it down (pulled the bolt and the trigger) and cleaned it, now it cycles sometimes and sometimes it doesn't.
