The dealership wants $ 2150 to fix it but there's no parts available until mid of august 2019. Which requires dashboard to be removed. Quoted $3,500 out of pocket. So just got this in the mail that Honda is extending the AC warranty on all Civics produced between 2016-2021 to 10 years and unlimited miles. Apparently the new refrigerant and oil required by new regulations may cause swelling of the compressor shaft seal. Anyway the warranty has been extended to 10 years with no mileage limitation.
